During the Mar. 8 College Council meeting at Fordham College at Lincoln Center (FCLC), faculty learned from the Rev. Robert R. Grimes, S.J., that of the 436 new beds which had been expected to go to FCLC student expansion, 200 will now be given to Gabelli School of Business (GSB) students.

Rise in Music Majors Calls for More Resources

There are 24 students in the music major this year, which is double the amount of last spring, according to Mark Mattson, associate dean of Fordham College at Lincoln Center (FCLC). As the major gains popularity on campus, many students interested in music are frustrated with what they feel is a department that lacks adequate resources for musicians.

Despite great team success and accolades over the past 10 years, the Fordham soccer team hadn’t had the crowning achievement of having a player drafted to the big times—Major League Soccer (MLS). That all changed on Jan. 12 when Rams goalie Ryan Meara was drafted with the 31st pick of the second round by the New York Red Bulls.

Quinn Library Open 24 Hours During Finals

From Dec. 9 through Dec. 20, the Quinn library will be open 24 hours each day, giving students more time options to study for finals. Currently, Quinn’s hours are 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.
