A training session in Miami, Florida, on Jan. 10 turned into a full-fledged rescue by three members of Fordham’s men’s swim team when they noticed a man struggling in the ocean’s riptide.

A petition for Fordham University to officially recognize Indigenous Peoples’ Day, introduced by the Diversity Action Coalition (DAC), a committee of the United Student Government at Fordham Rose Hill, was distributed via social media throughout October.

Since 2016, Old Quinn has stood empty, prompting questions about use of space at Lincoln Center.

Retention Task Force Tackles Recurring Issues

On Oct. 18, the Arts and Sciences Council met to speak on various issues facing Fordham University. The council, which is responsible for generating academic recommendations for the whole of the university, raised concerns regarding the retention rates among undergraduate freshmen.
