When I tell people I’ve read and love the book series “Fifty Shades of Grey,” I typically get the same reaction as when I tell them I’m a Ke$ha fan. “Are you serious? You? Why?”
A year ago, I was mildly interested in politics. Now, though, I’m not sure I can get enough. Week after week I read about some politician who doesn’t think before he speaks and then see him parodied that weekend on Saturday Night Live.
Recently two new Facebook pages took off called "Fordham Memes," and with both Rose Hill and Lincoln Center students "liking" the pages, they received hundreds of hits within just a few hours. Students wasted no time in creating their own memes.
As students of Fordham, we should not find it surprising that our Jesuit-affiliated school that has certain attitudes towards premarital sex and other "risqué" behaviors, made it to the list of the “10 Most Sexually Repressed Colleges” by CollegeMagazine.com.
