Museum Moments: Bortolami in SoHo’s Gallery Strip

A close look at the Bortolami Gallery’s two floors of modern art in Lower Manhattan
Surrounding buildings of the Bortolami Gallery in Soho

Bortolami Gallery has two locations: 39 Walker St. and 55 Walker St. If those locations sound close to one another, you’d be right. Soho, New York is home to consecutive blocks of various galleries and is a perfect place to get lost while strolling in and out of buildings looking at art. We specifically explored Bortolami’s 39 Walker St. location, which typically features traveling exhibits from different modern artists. During our visit, the gallery showcased artists Eric Wesley and Rebecca Morris. Our photos are taken on Canon G7 Mark III digital and Pentax ME Super Film Cameras. Admission is free, and that appears to be the case with other galleries nearby. We highly recommend checking out Bortolami’s amazing space at 39 Walker St., as well as the several galleries surrounding it.
