On Aug. 23, students began moving into the Lincoln Center campus residence halls under extraordinary circumstances. The Observer was there to capture the experience as well as the thoughts of students, both new and returning, and their parents.

Ben Jordan, Fordham College at Lincoln Center ’22, is an assistant multimedia editor at The Observer and is studying film. In addition to working on video projects, Ben enjoys reading about and occupying space in the natural world, alongside watching movies by Jacques Demy.
Emma Seiwell was the assistant multimedia editor for The Observer. She is a senior at Fordham Lincoln Center majoring in journalism with a minor in visual arts. Emma is interested in local history, culture, science and social justice. Being in NYC she finds great inspiration from local communities and the endless stories they have to tell. When she's not reporting, she can be found people-watching downtown, taking photos or eating blintzes at Veselka.
Mateo Solis Prada, FCLC ’22, is an editor for the multimedia section and a visual arts major. When he is not working on projects for The Observer, he can be found taking photographs around the city, or in the kitchen making carbonara and listening to soul music.
