“Which one of you lovely ladies is brave enough to hold the pigeon?” Pigeon Man asked on a sunny afternoon in the heart of Bath.

Attempting to be brave, I daringly walked over to the swarm of pigeons and held my shaking hands out as he placed a pigeon on my arm. Before I knew it, pigeons came flocking to me with one on my head, one on my shoulder, and about a dozen coming towards my feet.  As I started to panic, unwittingly drawing the attention of a laughing crowd, the man reassured me, “I promise, they don’t bite.”

Never trust a man and his pigeons.[
