“Good question,” Johnny said as he threw a sideway smile at Serena stalling my question concerning his favorite thing about his girlfriend. After a few seconds of silence she smiled back and told me, “Maybe you should have asked the thing he dislikes about me the most. That might go quicker.” They both looked at each other and chuckled as Johnny turned his head away, a bit insulted.  He slowly looked back towards her and then at the ground and admitted, “She makes me happy.”  “He’s so original,” Serena said with a giggle, “that’s my favorite thing about him.”
