The Observer is Fordham Lincoln Center’s award-winning, 100% student-run newspaper. Our student editors generate, pitch, and assign story ideas to their section’s staff writers, who research, conduct interviews, and write pieces for our bi-weekly print publication.

Your contributions help keep us running smoothly. We use your generous donations to pay for the publication of our printed paper, our Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, our top-notch advisors: Molly Bedford of The New York Times, and Anthony Hazell, a former Observer Editor-in-Chief, and any new equipment we might need to effectively create quality journalistic content.

SHAGUN RATH, Fundraising Coordinator

Shagun Rath, GSB ’23, is the fundraising coordinator for The Observer. She is currently a global business major with a concentration in finance and economics. She was born and raised in New Jersey and can usually be found obsessing over “Criminal Minds” or watching cooking videos of food she will never make.

ALEXA STEGMULLER, Former Creative Director

Alexa Stegmuller (she/her), FCLC ’24, is the former creative director at The Observer. She is majoring in communications and double-minoring in fashion studies and marketing. When she’s not being an iPad kid in Adobe Suite, you can find her romanticizing the streets of SoHo while listening to Taylor Swift, specifically, “Red (Taylor’s Version).”
