Remembering 9/11 in New York, 20 Years Later

By MIA AGOSTINELLI

On the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks last week, people gathered at ground zero to pay their respects to the friends, family and strangers who lost their lives two decades ago. The day is solidified as a memorial to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, and it serves as a reminder to an ever-growing, distant memory for all of the individuals whose lives were forever changed in New York City, across the country and around the world.
