Thunder rolls great and small to war
fighting for a cause unknown
spurred on by a vengeful god.
Hail and freezing wind collide
thunder clapping across wooden fleets
tossed like feathers, all succumb to the sea
on their way to bring war and hunger
ravaged by Thor’s fiery hammer
and Fate’s cruel hand pressed down
on dipping oars.
The sea is froth and foam.
