The Observer Ranked in Top 10 College Papers

Fordham Lincoln Center’s student voice, The Observer, took the eighth overall spot in The Princeton Review’s ‘Best College Newspaper’ rankings for 2015, along with the Fordham Rose Hill publication, The Ram. Four of the top ten schools on the list are based in New York, including Columbia University, Syracuse University and Cornell, which received the top designation. The rankings were based on a study of 136,000 students across these colleges, who were asked to rate various aspects of their schools. Below are the winners from some of the other categories:

Happiest students: Vanderbilt University, Nashville TN
Best Party School: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Champaign IL
“Stone Cold Sober” School: Brigham Young University, Provo UT
Best Financial Aid: Princeton University, Princeton NJ
Highest Student Satisfaction: Claremont McKenna College, Claremont CA
Most Beautiful Campus: Rollins College, Winter Park, FL
Most LGBTQ-Friendly: Emerson College, Boston MA
Best College Dorms: Bennington College, Bennington VT
