The SAG Awards’ Best & Worst Dressed
January 29, 2013
The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards was not just a night to recognize talented stars, but also a night to dress to impress. The 19th annual awards show arrived on Jan. 27 and the stars
showed off their finest – and worst – fashion. From Jennifer Lawrence to Anne Hathaway, stars showed off the latest trends, ranging from midnight blue to black gowns.
Jennifer Lawrence looked radiant at the SAG Awards. Dressed in a midnight blue Dior Haute Couture gown and Chopard jewels, the “Hunger Games” star looked simply stunning. A bold red lip and Hollywood waves completed her look.
Claire Danes’s Givenchy gown reminded me of the ’90s – and not in a good way. The odd pattern on the “Homeland” actress’s gown made it look like something had spilled down its side. The dark, vampy lips made her look even more depressing.
Jessica Chastain wowed in a red hot Alexander McQueen dress. The “Zero Dark Thirty” star stole the show in her bright red gown, making it hard to keep your eyes off her. Chastain looked polished with a diamond necklace from
Harry Winston, making her look practically flawless.
Ariel Winter wore a nude Alex Perry dress on the red carpet. The plain gown looked a bit too matronly on the “Modern Family” star. For an awards show like the SAG Awards, I was expecting the gown to be a bit more glamorous.
Anne Hathaway looked elegant in a Giambattista Valli gown with sheer accents. The “Les Miserables” star looked like a princess, but with a twist because of her black dress. Hathaway finished her look with an Eddie Parker clutch and added a pop of color with bold red lips. Well done.
The stars made their looks even more glamorous with bold, red lips. You can find red lipstick from L’Oreal or Maybelline at your local Duane Reade for less than $9.
