Fordham Athletics announced their plan to address racism in the program. In response, students are advocating for action to uphold the promises made.

The women’s basketball team, in addition to many others, had their seasons cut short in response to the spread of the coronavirus.

Many Fordham athletes were affected by decisions around the NCAA ending all athletic competitions in early March. Athletes in the winter lost postseasons, while athletes in the spring lost months of play.

Fordham Women’s Basketball Falls in Stunning A10 Semifinal Loss, 60-55

The Fordham women’s basketball team blew a 17-point lead in the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 Tournament against Virginia Commonwealth University. In the final minute, the Rams missed three of four free throws and lost 60-55, ending their bid for the NCAA Tournament. It is a bitter end to a season in which far more was expected of them.

Women’s Basketball Stuns Davidson on Cavanaugh Game Winner, 47-46

In a very important game for Fordham women's basketball, captain Bre Cavanaugh, FCRH '21, hit the shot of the season thus far. With four seconds remaining, she hit a three-pointer to win the game for the Rams, 47-46.

Offensive woes and early foul trouble led to a tough Fordham defeat on the road.

Women’s Basketball Loses on the Road, VCU Remains Undefeated

Fordham women's basketball led for much of the game against undefeated VCU on the road, but gradually lost control in an eventual 62-52 defeat.

Fordham Erupts in Fourth Quarter, Takes Down Rival Saint Louis

Falling behind early, Fordham women's basketball came back to defeat St. Louis University, 66-54. After succumbing to several runs early, a 23-point fourth quarter put them comfortably in front for their third straight victory.
