On Nov. 15, at approximately 1 a.m., police rounded up Occupy Wall Street (OWS) protestors in Zuccotti Park. Close to 200 people were arrested, including people of the media. The park was quickly cleared out and the New York Police Department (NYPD) took charge of the space, not allowing the public inside the park. While the park is empty, protestors still surround the perimeters and remain determined their message is still heard. Most OWS protestors do not see the closing of the park as an end to their cause, as they proudly hold their signs in front of the NYPD.
