Corbin Gregg, FCLC ’22, is an online editor for The Observer. He is a political science and philosophy double major. When he’s not publishing articles, you can probably find him listening to some annoying philosophy podcast. He was previously a host of Retrospect, the Fordham Observer’s podcast.
Kreena Vora (she/her), FCLC ’23, is a former online editor at The Observer. She is majoring in mathematics and minoring in French and francophone studies and computer science. She enjoys cooking, watching movies, and wandering around the park. She was previously the fun & games editor.

Cute theme. Tough in places, and a few clue/answers are off. I always thought the plural of “wife” was “wives.” Is that changing? There is no star named LIBRAE. They are Alpha Librae (second brightest in Libra, actually a multiple-star system), Beta Librae, etc. Is the A of FILIAL standing in for “alpha?” If so, that should be signaled somehow. And can someone clue me in how LFS is an answer for “Drawing out?” At least the crosses for it are fair. Anyway, the puzzle is a celebration of spring, let’s cheer for that.

WIFES could be saved by cluing it as WIFE’S. Maybe “possessive spouse?”
