Meet the Contestants of Fordham’s Got Talent!

On April 21, the Campus Activities Board (CAB) at Fordham Lincoln Center (FLC) hosted Fordham’s Got Talent, a talent show featuring numerous singers, dancers and performers showcasing their passions. A judging panel consisting of Assistant Dean for the BS in Global Business Vincent DeCola, S.J.; Resident Director for First-Year Students Savanah Manos; and United Student Government President Joe VanGostein, Gabelli School of Business at Lincoln Center ’22, watched performers and awarded first, second and third place prizes for the top performances of the night.

The audience witnessed a five-minute lip-sync rendition of songs by Gloria Gaynor, Justin Timberlake and George Michael, various songs that were written by talented Fordham students, a first-place performance of a Rihanna song and a dance that came from the heart.

A member from The Observer’s Multimedia team sought out some of the contestants of Fordham’s Got Talent and interviewed them about their performances.

Alice Moreno (she/her), FCLC ’23, is a former multimedia editor at The Observer. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, to Colombian parents, she is now majoring in journalism at Fordham. When she’s not being an iPad kid in Adobe Suite, you can find her romanticizing the streets of SoHo while listening to Taylor Swift, specifically, “Red (Taylor’s Version).”
