Defne Akiman, Fordham College at Lincoln Center ’22, is the assistant layout editor and assistant multimedia editor emerita for The Observer. She is majoring in psychology. She is interested in making her hobbies help connect bigger audiences through different platforms. She’s also interested in learning about human development and how our social world intersects with this process. Her other interests include drawing, cooking and photography.

Alison Ettinger-DeLong, Fordham College at Lincoln Center ’23, is a multimedia editor for The Observer. She is a dual sociology and urban studies major. Alison’s favorite part of creating multimedia content is making graphics and editing videos. She also loves discussing intersecting social demographics, caring too much about fonts and eating lots of vegetarian sushi.
