David Halperin Lectures on ‘How To Be Gay’
April 24, 2014
On Thursday, April 24, University of Michigan Professor and Queer Theorist David M. Halperin gave a lecture about his 2012 book, “How To Be Gay,” in McMahon Hall at Fordham College at Lincoln Center (FCLC), as part of the inaugural Fordham Queer Seminar.

Attendees who signed up for the event were given excerpts from the book so they had a contextual understanding of the book and to help facilitate discussion.
Following a discussion with members of the faculty, Halperin stayed to answer questions from students through which Halperin addressed a variety of topics, including Ancient Greek writers’ place in camp culture and how one can publish a book.
