At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14th, damage caused by a snow induced roof leak was found in the 12th Floor Lounge of the Lowenstein building,

“There’s not much [damage], just a couple of ceiling tiles,” Eric Chambers, maintenance worker, said.

According to Jedd Applebaum, assistant director/chief engineer of Fordham College at Lincoln Center facilities operations, this was the first leak among the recent snow storms that caused any major disturbances.

He is not concerned about any possible upcoming storms. “Anytime there’s snow on top of snow, there’s a potential for further damage,” Applebaum said. “But we don’t anticipate any other leaks.”

If any leak were to occur, it would “get addressed immediately,” said Applebaum.
